What about us Technies/Programmers/Gamers?

Does the industry not care about us? Or do they want to cater to the simpletons who prefer simplicity and rigid easy to use devices with little to no freedom?

I've hated Windows 8 from the get go and hate it even more now.

Well I've been reading articles lately that suggest that desktops will be phased out several years from now as both Microsoft and Apple start heading down that path with their desktop operating system.

Especially with Apple's Mountain Lion pushing their App Store more and with it even suggesting that the only place to get software for your mac would be their blasted app store. I hope Windows stays the hell away from that dangerous path.

Ya, there is cases like that. Especially in remote areas and in rural areas :/ I'm not big on word and all of that as I do more programming than actual reporting via docs. Screw that shit.
