What baffles me is how there are such "extraordinary engineers" but they can't figure out how to stop the flow.

I believe that BP really has no interest in cleaning up the spill. There are many effective safe ways other than Corexit 9500 (which is neither effective or safe) that can be used to clean the spill very quickly.

Agreed with Seventy. I'm pretty sure we can't get enough hay to cover the gulf coast.

Seventy wrote on 2010-07-05 22:35
That and I mean, what are we going to do with the hay afterwards?

BP should hurry up and fix it D<.
And to add to some conspiracy...
However, WMR's federal and Gulf state sources are reporting the disaster has the real potential cost of at least $1 trillion. Critics of the deal being worked out between Obama and Hayward point out that $10 billion is a mere drop in the bucket for a trillion dollar disaster but also note that BP, if its assets were nationalized, could fetch almost a trillion dollars for compensation purposes.
And Seventy, it's Bob/Zasakii/Sacrifice D<!

The oil is gonna travel all over the world soon enough, since the current will carry it up the east coast, which will ruin tourism even further and basically destroy the fishing market. And eventually, from there, it'll travel even further, eventually ruining the whole world if nothing good happens :<

Yeah I'm kinda wondering why it isn't being taken super seriously like it should be.

If it gets to Canada I'll rage because the Maritime provinces are already messed up -_- If it reaches here then those provinces will die.
