The thing with the tool I posted, it allows you to play on PC as well for when you no longer need the TV. It's merely a suggestion, not a "go buy it".
But considering that my computer monitor is my TV, using my PC as a proxy to play games doesn't seem all that great to me, since when I did my research, I saw a good amount of people complaining that there was noticeable lag between the game and what was on the screen at the time, as well as I could always just hook up directly to my TV if I must.
Like I said, though, since the programs that were suggested to me didn't work for me, either through personal stupidity (likely), or just something relating to my tuner card (more likely), I'm going to have to go to the nearest Radio Shack or something to see if they have what I'm looking for (Best Buy/Circuit City are a two hour trip one way away, while the nearest Radio Shack is only an hour one way), and if not, then try to borrow my dad's debit card and PayPal to buy one online and have it shipped to me. I also saw a video on YouTube where a person used their video camera as a capture card, but of course, that would also require me to actually have a video camera, which is something that I would use even less than a capture card.
