Ps3 Slim Goes White, HDD Increases to 320 GB

here are new versions of the PlayStation 3 coming, with new hard drive sizes and new colours. And as is custom, they're hitting Japan first.

First things first: in Japan, the PS3 will cease to be made available in 120GB and 250GB sizes, and instead come in 160GB and 320GB versions. These new models will be released in Japan on July 29, and for the first time will see the PS3 Slim available in two colours: the existing black and "Classic White".

The 160GB model will cost Â¥29,980 (USD$340), while the 320GB version will retail for Â¥34,980 (USD$400).

As of now, details on this expansion to the PS3 range have been confined to the Japanese market; we'll update should we hear anything of Sony's plans for the PAL regions or North America.

The white slim looks better than the black slim in the cat's opinion.
But it can't beat the glossy black fat PS3
also reminds the cat of Mabinogi since everyone there wants clothes which are black and white

This is quite ironic
as the Xbox 360 started out white but then focused on black
The PS3 started out black and then became white

The PSX would of been Kick-ass if it was the launch PS2.
Also why classic white if the playstation started out grey?

PS2 is horrible for PS1 games.

There were constants freeze ups plus the PSX was was DVR and a Game Console. Pretty awesome

Slim.
It froze in Legend Of The Dragoon in the Magic Rock Boss fight, Lenus Boss Fight and other times.
I heard it froze in Xenogears too.

Diagnostics?
Yeah I turned that on.
The PS2 hardware was horrible.
Sony is really lazy in my point of view.
PS3 would of been awesome if they allowed to play PS2 games but no.
Then there was the Other OS feature that they removed which sounds awesome even though I don't know what it does.
The only reason I would want a PS3 now is to play LittleBigPlanet but that's it. =/
