So after the update, PvP and the Crimson Blade Security Code has been released.
But not only that, there are also a few more differences in the game!
:whisper:
I made a small list of differences in Vindictus after the maintenance.
1. The tint of Vindictus have been slightly changed. Now, Vindictus' Colhen and Rocheste are more colorful. Take the time to look arund and notice how everything's has more color in it!
2. The Level Penalty has been more flexible. Before the update, the Level Penalty made it so level 60 player go on a Red Tyrant farming spree and not collect any gold from the mission. However, as of now, the Level Penalty has been MUCH more forgiving as last time. Now, you can still collect gold from a level 24 mission if you're level 65! Even though the Penalty is not completely gone, it's still good to see that it's more lenient.
3. Random Kicking when smashing has started to occur. Sometimes, when a monster is on the floor, and you try to finish them off, you end up kicking them instead of using your R move. Minor difference, but this started happening. You can change this by going to the options menu to disable random kicking.
4. Empowered Enhancement Stones are now for equipments Level 60+.
5. All Level 61 equipments have been changed to level 60.
6. All level 61 missions have been changed to level 60.
These are some notes that have taken place since the maintenance of February 24, 2012. :glasses:

1) It looks the way it did before the snow came.
2) Oh well, that's good :>
3) That's not good D: Sometimes it can glitch you out of a smash.
4) Not much of a difference.
5) I don't like this. At all.
6) I don't like this either.

Why not? Seems fine to me

I dunno, I just don't like the feel of... giving fresh lvl60s more advantages.
Btw, I've heard that
KAROK CLASH HAS BEEN NERFED. If you take damage during the clash, the clash is stopped AUTOMATICALLY. I have yet to test this but it came from 2 different friends, it might be true...

For 4-6. It's annoying for drawing the lines between midgame and endgame, with the most glaring example being the future Dragon update. It was like 8 slots for 40-60 and 16 slots for 61-70, but what it means now is just confusing.
Random kicking has always been around if you enabled "Smash to kick downed enemies" or something. It's been around since the Closed Beta, and it's really nothing new. It's likely your patch undid some of the advanced settings (I've had it happen before).
It's nice to hear the level penalty was loosened, it was annoyingly strict at times. The "tint" has already been adressed, but it has been quite a while since Colhen has been in it's natural state.
Edit
While it seems unlikely that they'd randomly add some character changes (that I haven't even heard of from KR), there is always the chance. Reading the Nexon forums earlier, somebody claimed that Fiona's LRR is faster now.
But I highly doubt any actual changes occured, rather that it was caused by random lag. Plus, there are very few situations where you can take outside damage during a Clash.
Also, Christmas Tickets (if you still have them) got a new Red/Green icon and can now be discarded. So for the people who had them stuck in their inventory, you can finally get rid of them.

It would make sense for Clash to be stopped if Karok gets hit. Although I don't really see any moments where Karok would get attacked by something else while clashing, since the bosses he can clash are usually ALONE. I can only think of Lionotus having help from Verafim... Well, never mind. It wouldn't make sense. All the grab moves make the characters invincible while doing a grab move.
Fiona's LRR had no changes. People are just being silly, probably comparing their attack speed to the ones in Relic (which is VERY SLOW).

Actually, no, sometimes the attack slips through and Karok gets hit by the clashable move just as he enters the clash, which should normally not stop his clash. I am in the middle of testing out this rumor of the nerfed clash on my Karok, Raidical, Dethrone the white Tyrant.

I think afkal actually explained this sometime ago.
The level 61 sets right now actually used to be level 63 - 65 sets or something else instead (at least Swift and Black Hammer were). Devcat decided they didn't like this because that was drifting more toward an endgame system where there was no point in getting any other armor sets (not much has changed, ha ha ha!) So then the armor sets got nerfed into what they are today, with the level requirement dropped, and devcat tried to promote customisation and diversity by making each set differ from each other. And then they went and made Dragon stuff, but then again at that point I suppose it really is end game, lol.
I don't know why it's now a level 60 requirement, but personally I feel it's silly. As if the Queen's Glory sets weren't under-used enough, now they've gone and made the level gap between it and the 61 sets lower. Might as well just drop them from the game :/

I don't understand why they should because of that. Having them available one level sooner can be a huge benefit to a lot of people.

The problem being, actually fighting Weeping Queen enough to craft the set is a very difficult task at that level. It's only really due to botting that Queen's Glory sets are even affordable.
That said, the set still has a few unique enchants (like Rage) that makes it viable. It's also craftable through expertise, meaning it can get 4 Star bonuses which lets it compete with a lot of the 60 sets. It's the same logic with some people and 4 Star 56 sets.
The set itself is still pretty bad, and not used that often. But it has some niche uses. It's similar to Lorica in a way (and that's a 60 set).
