What if it was like... person A was going to receive money- can they use that to pay bail (if said bail exists)?

Nope, the money is taken away from them.
Hopefully, Person A bloody killed Person B. I'm pretty sure Person B wouldn't want Person A to have his/her money anymore.

Another question that fascinates me now :chomp2:
What if it was an assisted suicide, even if it's illegal? Or they specify in their will something along these lines.

Well if it is assisted suicide and they covered it up to make it look like murder, it wouldn't matter, and Person A would probably get a heavier punishment.

All jokes aside though I would think that it wouldnt matter really. Since he'd prob be in jail for well over 30 years. Wait how long does one get in jail?

Quote from Wikipedia:
The slayer rule, in the common law of inheritance, is a doctrine that prohibits inheritance by a person who murders someone from whom he or she stands to inherit: e.g. a murderer does not inherit from parents he or she killed. In calculating inheritance of the decedent's estate, the effect of the slayer rule was that the slayer would be treated as though he or she had predeceased the person who had been murdered, therefore his or her share of the estate would pass to his or her issue.
