Vierra.
Class: Sniper
Secondary Class Action: Assassin
Reaction: Auto Regen
Support: Concentrate
Combo: Sniper Combo
Strategy:
Turn 1, Turn Vierra invisible with Sniper's Conceal.
Turn 2, Move Vierra to a suitable position.
Turn 3, Move in to opponent.
Turn 4, Last Breath.
With conceal, your opponent CANNOT hit you unless they literally guess and bomb down aoe spells. If you believe that the opponent will swing randomly with their weapon, it might be a better idea to cover reaction with reflex for 100% dodge rate.
If you believe they'll spam magic, Absorb MP can help you fuel your MP usage. Otherwise Auto Regen will help you regenerate your hp while you put yourself back in conceal and move about again.
With concentrate, you have a 90% chance of hitting with Last Breath. This will instantly KO any opponent. If you believe that 90% is not high enough or you cannot get behind the opponent, Ultima Masher will deal x3 normal damage (killing anyone instantly) for 99 MP (a little expensive) at 99% accuracy. Since assassins can equip bows, you can also call it safe and launch a death sickle instead for 99% accuracy.
This class is technically more bull than Dual Wield Fighters, which everyone call to saying is the strongest class in FFTA. Dual Wield Fighters have more DPS, and prove themselves better against bosses, but in a general game Vierras are THE only races you need.
IMBA TEAM 1:
Vierra Assassin x5
Vierra Summoner/Red Mage x1 (red mage can use double cast for two summoners per turn. Cast defensive spells for your party and this character's role is pretty much done).
All assassins turn invisible -> Game ends without you knowing what the hell you have to do because all your opponents are invisible and can 1hko you.
IMBA TEAM 2:
Illusionists x6
All with Turbo MP
Game begins. All spells will cost 64 MP, meaning you can only cast it once or twice per character, but it doesn't even matter because every one of your characters are now going to nuke the screen for about 50~100 damage each. With 6 of you thats 300~600 MP in one round.
Chances are, almost everyone is dead and the first turn is over.
Chances are, the match itself will end before your opponent can even get half way across the screen to you. Keep back as far as possible.
JUST FELT LIKE RANTING ON HOW STUPID THIS GAME IS.
Just played a simulated online match making system version of FFTA and I haven't lost a single match since I started these two teams. I quit.
