One is 17, and she goes to that school.
Hmm. Just what I heard. Don't take my word for it though. ;)
But that must be a bit awkward...

Quote from TA;793389:
She's 18, not to mention consenting. I don't see the problem.

Regardless of if they met before now, they are together and she is legal and capable of making her own decisions. Seeing as how they have been together this long they are both committed. If he had really wanted to hit it and quit it he would have gotten what he wanted and dropped her years ago. Though I may be biased on this, as a teacher at my school was dating a student when he was teaching there and everything worked out fine. They are happily married to this day.

Quote from Aliyah;793398:
It's a problem when there's a power imbalance, when one partner is in a position of authority over the other. Power imbalances are not just based on the age of the partners. These imbalances are pretty much inherent in professional relationship like education, businesses, therapy and medical care, and is why teacher/student, boss/employee, and doctor/patient relationships are frowned on, even when both members are over the age of consent.
I was going to say there's just something really wrong about a teacher student relationship, and this quote sounds about right
then the other people mentioned how the teacher was married and had kids too

I don't see what's wrong about this.
I mean unless someone can prove that they did something while she was still a minor it's okay.
Yeah, he really can't be jailed unless this was the case. But he left his family and kids, so he's obviously a person to be looked down upon.

It is very cute. But I wonder about his daughter.
The mother is a bitch. All this "grooming"-nonsense is absolutely annoying.
"Oh hey, my daughter is retarded and is falling for an average guy who of course is a genius of manipulation just because that's obviously how it must be, and anyway she's MY daughter, I get to say what she does and whom she loves or doesn't!"

So what if he has a wife and kids? People fall out of love just as fast as they fall into it. You can't expect someone to be with another person just because they're married to them and have kids with them.
I do think it's a bit awkward, but it has nothing to do with me. They're both of legal age, they can do whatever the hell they want.

Oh god, this reminds me of Pretty Little Liars.
Though, I mean she is 18, and he is no longer her teacher.

How is this news worthy?

It is news because it is something people love sticking their noses in when it is none of their business.

That interviewer was a bitch >.>
As long as they didn't get physical when she was a minor I see no problem with it.
Uptight Americans being uptight as usual.
Anyways, I won't be around to counter any points as I'm off to Spain. Audios!

I've seen 16 dating a 18, waited till she turned 18 (18-20) to be official, wouldnt that be the same. I can see her mom being pissed but shes 18 now, so she is legally allowed by law. But damn with all these background checks o3o
The only thing that gets to me is how James can smile after leaving his wife and daughter (in highschool)...
The only thing I hope is for them to not go missing...
