Be a [s]wo[/s]MAN and quit. You obviously dun like it wasting your time/ you don't look forward to it. At this point you basically stopped enjoying it amirite?. So either take a break, play for fun, or quit.

You've spent so much time and years into it, so i personally think it's quite a shame. However, like others have said, you don't enjoy it anymore, and when you don't enjoy something it's definitely much harder to excel at it. I started playing piano two years ago -late starter, yes, i know- and i find that it's quite fun unless i have a 'bad playing day' (when i suck so bad i slam the piano and run upstairs screaming. Okay, exaggerated.)
The grading system here in Australia is a little different to yours, we have 8 grades, then FMAS, LMAS (Dunno if i spelt those right) and something else. I've also been told that my one of my 3rd grade songs is a 7th grade song for you guys D8. Many of my friends are onto their 8th grades+ and they say that it takes alot of patience and practice to do well. Unless you're so hopeless at it like my friend -name undisclosed- who was told by his own teacher that he should quit, then i think you should continue. Now that you've gotten experience of what the exam is like, maybe you can give it another go. Compared to 10 years of practice, a year or so more isn't very much in a sense. You should ask your teacher, and other piano players at your level and higher. But overall, it's still your decision to make.

Always remember that just because you stop having lessons doesn't mean you cant still enjoy the piano. If you've reached Grade 10 Piano you should be able to learn most songs in a couple hours. Just play what you enjoy, when its convenient. If a hobby feels like a chore, its no longer a hobby, right?

How about considering to go for the supplementary exam and pass it?
Don't let that one mark problem stop you if you really want to pursue further in this skill.
Especially if this is the only chance you will get in your life.
Also, sharing from my own experience, I failed piano exams twice badly. It didn't stop me from wanting to grab the chance to re-continue within 2 years after those failures. (The anime that inspired me to recontinue was Nodame Cantabile...although I don't really know what the exact link is now...)

@ Cat, I can already play those... lol?
And if I did quit piano, I probably would keep my upright, and just play from time to time (which is next to never), but I really hate the pressure of practicing in general... yeah, it's a chore.

I personally quit piano, regretted it, and started it again, but if you are really stressed by this practicing
and just playing in general, then I think that you should quit. For me, music is something to be enjoyed,
and if you don't enjoy it, then putting the effort into it is sort of useless.
And then after you quit, if you want to play piano again, you can play it again as
a more casual hobby, I guess.

Don't quit. It's great for your resume, especially if you compete and place in a competition. It's a waste if you quit now, and I'm glad I didn't quit playing the cello. My theory sucks, but I somehow managed to scrape through.

I used to always go to competitions, and got first a few times... and 90 minutes a day just for a resume... I'm still in high school. It doesn't seem worth it.

I was forced to start piano. I quit.
However, I chose to play violin (starting when I was 6) and I'm still...playing...

Guh, thinking about taking another exam, or practice pressure makes me sick.
Might as well just keep it for a side hobby.
