You paid $60 and an additional $10 (we're at $70 now) for a mouse that's really worth about $20-40 max (yet those would probably work on all surfaces and be higher quality).
Honestly, it's just like Mac. You aren't paying for a good mouse. You're paying for the brand. The mice aren't that good, and they're overpriced.
That's kinda true if you're looking purely for a good quality:price ratio. The thing is, most people won't use their mice for super important things anyway just as most people will only use their computers for browsing the internet and possibly playing movies, which a Mac does fine.
Would it save money to get a cheaper equivalent without the lights and the brand name? Yeah. But...
if you're just using these things for simple purposes, the value of looks skyrockets and the technical details matter a lot less. Besides, it's not like a DeathAdder is equal to a cheap $5 piece of crap, just like a $2,000 Mac isn't equal to some $400 junk computer. You're still getting
some quality, just not nearly as much, because it isn't your only priority. I will admit that the brand name basically just jacks the price up out of thin air, but some people feel that certain brands are cool so even this has somewhat of an argument, lol.
I agree with you, I'm just giving the other side to it.
