There's allot of Bot on the US version as well. As long as people buy gold we'll have bots :/
And the US also started at the Lower generations even tough there were allot farther on the other servers.
And they probably update it in smaller Generation bundels to keep people interested longer. I thing you're next large update might be straight to G8, but I could be wrong
