Can you guy's help me with my e-mail? It's hardly an application for an actual position, but I want to set off on the right foot, and I'm DETERMINED to find a job by the end of March. (Hopefully)
Subject: Kumon Grading Assistant or Other Opportunities
Hello,
My name is _________. I'm a _________ High School Freshman looking for a job opportunity in the _________ area. I was referred by some of my friends and sifted through the Internet and decided that working at Kumon was a good place for me to work. I'm very interested in applying for a position here. I'm wondering if there is any positions, such as a Grading Assistant, open for high school students like me. My phone number is ***-***-****.
Next order of business: Do you think I should call to ask? Is calling in for questions unprofessional? I feel like I'm doing a bad thing asking THEM to call ME, instead of ME calling THEM.
Should I go there in person to ask?: My friend told me to e-mail them first so I'm not sure.

I don't think asking questions by calling is unprofessional at all
and don't ask them to call you, I definitely think you should call yourself. Or email, whatever gets you answers
By going in and asking in person, you could leave a good impression than if you were to simply call or email
at least imo
