Minecraft and Computer Fan

Every time I play Minecraft the fan in my computer begins to run. It starts when its hot right? But each time I play Minecraft it does that. I played Wakfu, Mabinogi, Vindictus,etc and it the fan never turns on. Is there a reason why it turns on when Minecraft is up?

If it's any consolation, I'm experiencing the same issue.

My computer is more than capable of running Minecraft - so I was a little concerned when I could audibly hear my fans.
I find that it may be correlated to memory usage (RAM). Whenever I use the program Gamebooster, I find that there isn't as much noise - if at all.

It's quite baffling though. I think someone more technologically-inclined may be better suited to help you ~.~

Even mine does it once in a while, it's the temperature going from 30 to 33 or something, I set the fans to work harder if it hits 31+
Though mine does it when MC has been on for hours and I've loaded a billion chunks.

I see. Well, whatever reasons you might have - try closing down some unneeded processes and see if that helps.

It's because of the way Minecraft is written. It lacks a lot of the refinements found in other software that lets them economize on their CPU usage, making it max out the CPU and hold it there for extended periods of time. The result is that the computer gets hot, and turns it's fans up to compensate. Happens for pretty much any machine, even my good i5 laptop does it.

Mostly Java's fault, but there is a lot of room for improvement codewise as well if Mojang ever gets around to it. Overall though it is completely normal.
