This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I learned to formulate my own opinions and think twice about following someone elses thoughts just because they may be well known or something. Once someone recommended me an anime, I finally agreed to watch it after all the times I said to myself that it was a lame show. I quit it after a few episodes.

What Im saying is, you should be more independent. Alot of the time in mabi I look at the other giant players getting all their skills to Rank1 first, and I might congratulate them, mostly ignore them, and I'm doing fine.

First off, don't use bold if your default text puts everything in bold.

Secondly, amalgamation means a mixture of multiple components. So what I meant was that if there was some distance or weight or some other measurement, the average of many people's guesses will be very close to the right answer.

So in other words: ignore people, obey the hive mind.

Some people could consider that mean, you know.

It's okay to ask people for opinions, but in the end, it's still you.

It's hard to screw up a character in mabi, it's not like maplestory. I'm guessing you won't be "losing motivation" much.

Actually, I don't agree with that. You can easily screw up a character which would mess up your motivational levels.
Someone's gonna come here and say "You do everything at the end"
But I truly don't believe that's possible anymore. With ALL the skills, no one, not even Trigger would finish them all.

So let's say I have a human (which I don't...), and want to make it range/mage combo, and then I rank up...smash to rank 1, the ap wasted there (let's say I was saving it for ... AR), that wouldn't help me, I'd be out of AP, the end.

So? You go play other games for a while wait 3 weeks and come back. Rb, more ap. Your not gonna become awesome in a couple days this game takes a LOT of time. Ive been playing for like 2 years now and im still pretty nooby. And dont listen to other people. Just dont do what you want to do, but dont ignore people if they are trying to give advice, its just their opinion so in the end its you who decides.

Actually, I don't agree with the quoted post.

The reason why you can't ruin a character is because there aren't any useless skills. Each one was thought out carefully in every aspect from damage to ap costs to stat increases.

Your theoretical human that is a "failure" is, in actuality, a "win".
The reason? It has rank 1 smash. Even though you were focusing on range and magic doesn't mean you can't ever use it. And even with low strength, rank 1 smash will pull a lot damage.

I think I've realized your real problem. You think Mabi is a game with classes, a game with builds. But it's not.

Any character can be good at every style of combat. Even though you say "Range/Mage" it doesn't mean you've messed up by adding combat skills. On the contrary, it actually makes you stronger, because now you're a "Melee/Range/Mage" (or as I like to call that class, "Milletian".)

Edit: I know some of you disagree with the no useless skills comment, but you don't need to post here saying that. Send me a Pm instead and we'll talk about it.

You never know about any else max lvls, without a doubt there are people in Korea that have already hit 10k~ if people in our server are 4k~

also, are you unaware of the rebirth system? Your acting like you have limited AP.

Raj, this is why Mabi is one of the best games, classless and unlimited AP.
Its been said before o3o.
Besides, you should be able to rank 1 almost all your combat skills, if not all, before level 2000.
