I was just thinking about the various potentials of characters and about what makes a character hard or easy, and I had an idea pop into my head. This is all hypothetical, as I doubt there will be any large changes since the game has been largely completed.
What are the community's thoughts about Lann being given the ability to cancel all his smashes OR normals into a dodge, depending on which would be more balanced. It seems to fit with Lann's whole agile dodger concept, and as a person who has a hybrid lann, I can say that it would make his exploitation of boss openings much safer, plentiful and ease the problem of lag.
Don't be limited in critiquing what i've said. If you don't like it, suggest your own things. Feel free to tack on any of your own modifications, such as spear lann getting a faster roll.

I would be okay with this if Lann isn't already the best endgame character. Doesn't really make sense to buff the strongest character.

Lann is pretty weird. Could definitely use some rebalancing both offensively and defensively. Right now it's basically just a gear check.

If you're talking the ability to cancel an attack mid-swing into a Slip Dash or something, that'd be way too overpowered. It'd make him too easy because you could just keep attacking until an attack actually comes at you with reckless abandon.
Basically you'd be taking away Fiona's merits and handing it to Lann.

Lol.
He's only the best with "pro" skills, +15 weapon, and heavily enchanted.
he's pretty bad up to that point, and I've never seen a game that bases balancing on something as silly as that.

I don't know, being able to cancel everything is great! It would totally suit him, as he is supposed to be called, "The Master of Dodging."

I liked the concept of being able to dodge multiple times consecutively until there's no more stamina, rather than only being able to dodge twice in a row. Even the idea to be able to use gliding fury over and over again from any critical was decent. This idea... I don't like.

Its not like lann crits enough to actually have it be abuseable. And they could probably program it to do less damage the more you do.
like, First is 100%, Second is 90%, Third is 80% (and so on) though, you'd probably be lucky to make it to three.
