Any tips for soloing on hero? Or any tips in general. This guy is such a pain. I haven't found any solo vids. Trying to farm fast scrolls. I'm a scythe/staff evie. :imdead: It's difficult for me to get in hits on him with scythe, and I have a bad staff so even though I can hit him more often I have less DPS and feels just as slow.

I highly doubt a Hero solo is doable for most classes, at least without absurd gear. I'm going to assume you're not one of those 15k+ M.Att/Att people simply as you're still hunting scrolls. So find a decently/well geared party.

First off, the safest point to attack him is after he exits his teleport and stabs downwards. You should be able to do a LR with Scythe or fit in a Magic Arror blast or two. It's highly unlikely you'll be able to safely attack him at any other point. You might be able to sneak in a hit or two when he uses his blowgun, but that's mainly if he isn't targeting you.

He spins around way too much in a party, his combos do absurd amounts of damage (he kills me in ~3-5 hits, and I have 9.5k Def. Evie won't fare well), and he teleports after nearly every combo. His speed is also absurd, so you're likely not going to get any hits in besides during the times I mentioned above.

You can't chain lock him either, so that's out of the picture. Palalas give you about half a second of breathing room, but really it's not too useful.

In the end, there's no easy way out. You'll have to slowly chip away at his large HP pool as you try your best not to die.

The reason I doubt it's doable solo is that Scythes are slow. Your damage output is going to be way too low to finish him off in time (and your LR might be too slow to be safe. I know my ~40 speed Sword Fiona LR barely fits after his attacks).

The sad part is that I actually am one of those people. 9k def/14kmatk Evie ._. 4k/16k in my WL gear (with scythe). :fail3: I'm fully scrolled and gear2win to make up for lack of skill. I'm just working on speed set accessories and hardly anyone sells fast scrolls.

I mean I sometimes can successfully solo him on hero... barely. It takes a LONG time like you said. Guess I have no choice then but to party. Do you know if fast scrolls drop anywhere else?

Seems like it only drops there. I'll do a check on Inven and get back to you on if it drops elsewhere.

Otherwise, yeah. It sucks, but most hero solos are just slowly chipping away at the boss. That's the problem with really high Defence stats on a boss. Really, it'd be more efficient if you could find a grinding party. Some people are just there to try and make a profit, which is nice since you can buy their drops if they happen to get one.

Edit:
It seems to also drop from Strong Drink. According to the Korean info anyways.

But there's this one as a second option. From the boss, it seems Fast also drops from "Strong Drink". You could try that instead.

I bought 6x fast from him yesterday...how does he do it. He probably gets 10x fast a day

He certainly chose a wise product for botting. With 40% max success rates I bet he is always in business. :whoops:
