Suggestion, good gaming mouse + keyboard

  Spring Break is coming up and ill be on my computer half of the break (be playing and typing alot)
  
  Currently im using a cheap wired usb and keyboard (they are around $20). The Keyboard is one of those 10 inch compact and mouse is a random one, but has a broken scroll...
  
  My budget is up to $100 and not into wireless ones. Really like a mouse that has a durable scroll that wont go bad.

  id suggest the rat 7 wired usb mouse 100 now like 120 when came out still a good mouse
  but its a hardcore gaming mouse so to speak

  Try a trackball. Trackballs are love. They ARE LOVE.
  If you do, get one with a scrollwheel.
  
  They take a day or two to get used to, but they are SOOOOO much better than mice. Accurate, quick navigation - esp. because you don't have to pick it up. My trackball is the best thing that has happened to me in ~2 months. That may sound sad and supernerdy, but it's just THAT AWESOME.

  Trackballs are good for work and general computing use, but I doubt they're good for gaming. Especially FPS stuff. Clicking seems to be less intuitive with them.

  I don't like fps, so I wouldn't know about those, but it works fine with Mabi and WoW. I still prefer it over a mouse. I can turn around really fast really easy if I need to. I kind of hate the pvp in WoW...

  Looks like nobody carries the G11 anymore. It's basically the G15 but with blue lighting and no LCD screen that needlessly bumps up the price. I guess it was around $70, too.
  
  Logitech G110 might be ok. Doesn't have multimedia controls and has 6 less macro keys than mine, but honestly I never use all of mine anyways.

  If you're playing fps and whatnot, you're going to probably want a mouse with a DPI in the 5000 range or higher. The cheaper ones tend not to have DPI that high. The one I mentioned above, by the way, has like 14 buttons. It's up there with the Razer Naga ($68), which has 17, but these are placed in more usable locations rather than just all clumped together on a thumb pad. The Naga does have a higher DPI though, 5600 compared to 5040.
  
  The macro software sucks ass with the Cataclysm mouse though, I'll be perfectly honest. So, the Razer Naga might be a better option.
  
  If you end up looking at Logitech mice, avoid the ones with hyperscrolling - those are good for browsing the web, but if you need to do anything that actually uses the middle click, then it sucks ass. So, they're bad for gaming.

  Budget is never an issue that much for me since Im not in any kind of money problem. Probably going for something with less macro (probably would end up like you that doesnt use all)

  I do actually use all but 6 of my macro keys on my keyboard, oddly enough... xD...

  downloads, movies, winamp
  
  c anime, h anime, f anime
  music , d porn, f porn
  
  I just use them as multimedia buttons, really... they aren't usable as actual macro keys since they're unusable in games due to how far away they are. Gotta use the mouse buttons to do real macros... since the macro program sucks with this mouse, I gotta assign an arbitrary key to a button then use an AutoHotkey script to perform the macro I want.
