This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

Idk if I remember correctly you could delete it if no one had posted in it yet
but I accidentally made a thread the other day with the wrong user, and I went to delete it, and couldn't find the delete option anywhere.

I think you have to be a certain user level to delete your own threads/posts? Not sure.
You could always report it though if that's the case.
...you actually made several posts from there accidentally though. xD
Dunno about threads, since I've never had that problem, but anyone can delete their own posts.

I did the same thing! A mod had to close it.

I always thought that a user could only lock his or her own thread, and even then, I think that privilege was only in the market sections, so I'm not too sure if the option is still accessible or not.

Yeah, it's only in the market sections. As far as I know, normal members have never been able to do it.

I could have swore it was possible
but only if no one had posted in it yet

you can delete your post like you normally would, if it's a thread and no one posted in it then it should work.

Is there a way to delete a thread once someone has posted in it, if not could it be added when we move forums?

No, that's on purpose. Letting people delete their own thread after a bunch of people posted in it is troublesome on many levels.
