I'd really like to quit, and I've tried to a few times, but they're right when they say it's hard. It's something you just fall into, too.
"Oh, I'll never get addicted."
Lolwrong.

This to a certain extent
you want to hurt your own body? fine.
But don't do it around other people because you can seriously hurt them.
Every cigarette makes you sick, and this is includes the people around you.
/has to use an inhaler because of my parents smoking habit
That as-well.
I think it's a stupid habit to start, but after awhile you need to let go and say what's done is done. What is more important to me is how they're currently dealing with it.
If people try and kick the habit as best as they can then I've got no issues with them. But if they constantly smoke and refuse to do anything about it (bonus points if they're an ass who lets it affect everyone around them) then yeah, I have an issue with you.
I try and treat it like most other addictions, but it really depends on the person. I truly feel bad and support some people who are working on kicking it, but others are just downright shameful with their habit.

Never have and I never will. Not that I want too either, I'd waste money.... I could be wasting money on other stuff.

I smoke. Just not cigarettes. Those are nasty little cancer sticks.
Oh right. A Shisha is quite enjoyable.

Well, I guess this is bad because I'm only 16, but I smoke one every Saturday or two, just to relieve some stress. But no, I'm not addicted or can really be called a smoker.

I don't know why teenagers do it now, anyway.
When my parents started smoking you got prizes and shit to smoke
it was a cool thing to do
now, if someone sees you smoking they'll be like
"you're a moron"
older adults, I feel bad for, because they've been doing it for years and years so of course it will be hard to quit
but these young kids.. psh.

No. I've never willingly smoked a cigarette. Although, I've inhaled second-hand smoke before.
It's suffocating. Because, that's what smoke does - cigarette smoke is even worse :barf:
It's amazing how nicotine, something so simple and to the best of my/our knowledge not all that harmful - can cause such a problem.
I've heard of nicotine patches, I don't know how effective they are - but theoretically they should work. It might be troublesome and costly to try and quit, but it can't be that much of a waste of money compared to cigarettes.
I just am so shocked at how expensive cigarettes are ... Best of luck to those who try to quit.
It's really something important to try and do.

No.
We provide anatomic and functional evidence that nicotine induces angiogenesis. We also show that nicotine accelerates the growth of tumor and atheroma in association with increased neovascularization. Nicotine increased endothelial-cell growth and tube formation in vitro, and accelerated fibrovascular growth in vivo. In a mouse model of hind-limb ischemia, nicotine increased capillary and collateral growth, and enhanced tissue perfusion. In mouse models of lung cancer and atherosclerosis, we found that nicotine enhanced lesion growth in association with an increase in lesion vascularity. These effects of nicotine were mediated through nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at nicotine concentrations that are pathophysiologically relevant. The endothelial production of nitric oxide, prostacyclin and vascular endothelial growth factor might have a role in these effects.

That's why I wrote to the best of my knowledge. I even thought to myself, "I should probably look that up."
Well, I did - but all I found was adverse effects on rats.
Even more of a deterrent to smoking. I don't want no ... what all that stuff was D:
EDIT:
$32 Dollars to read it? Oh well, there goes that plan D:

Abstract is sufficient for the point o/

No.
Addictions are hard to kick (that's why they're addictions in the first place), so yes, I try to be fair minded about this regarding other smokers. For example, my dad was a heavy smoker (He's smoking a whole lot less now) because of peer pressure in the military when he joined in the late 60s (He was still under 20), and found smoking to be one of the few stress relievers he could have.

A lot of kids these days seem to be stupid in general, but yeah. It's still funny to look back and see how many people supported smoking back in the day. Not only was a cool, but it was something even doctors and other professionals promoted, not just teens.
I can't remember why my Mom started but she's been trying to quit for decades now and has been doing so on and off. But given all the consistent stress we've had it's been hard for her. She's quit quite a few times, but the hardest part is
staying quit. It doesn't help that everyone smokes where we live + at her school, so trying to keep the habit away for good has been very hard indeed. And my Mom is pretty damn hardcore when it comes to that shit.
But meh. Things will get easier eventually I imagine.
I just can't believe people still pick up the habit nowadays. I don't know what the hell runs through their minds.
