All odd chapters are mabinogi related actual celtic myth based.
All even chapters are wtf where did that come from.
Chapter 1 and chapter 3 had great generation storyline and was celtic myth based...somewhat for ch3.
But iria (chapter 2) came from nowhere. How do dragons and amazon ish natives have anything to do with celtic myth?
Also chapter 4, how does denmark in 1500s have anything to do with celtic myth?
So if this trend remain consistent, we are going to get something really good for chapter 5 :D

I sorta took Mabinogi as it's own story
there's celtic influence and all(and some other stuff) but still it's own story
and I thought the C4 story was explained by someone before (that is you'd know that if you did some research, or just looked on the main forums+ the original G13 thread)

Imho, Mabinogi is just a whole bunch of crap. "Oh, that sounds good! Let's put it in."

I don't care about Mabi's story. All I expect from mainstream is big bosses, new skills and the occasional cool cutscene.

Oh, dragons fit. Into mythology anyway.
What I don't get is how C2, the "America-esque" continents, fit into the mythology. The official European discovery of the Americas was... a little after 1500 Hamlet too.

For me, Mabi has a seperate storyline than just the Mabinogion. It was influenced by it though.

Delving into Arthurian legend might have been a little closer to their source mythology than Hamlet.
Heck, why Hamlet?
Why not Macbeth?

lol yea. Mabinogi has deviated from it's original intent a lot of times XD Dungeons -> Native Countries -> Aclehmy -> Shakespeare.
I have a feeling tho morrighan is going to be tied into hamlet somewhere since she's the goddess of revenge and cows (hamlet theme and lots of crows in the prologue cut scene)

*nods*
And some people, like me, use "mabinogi influence" for their stories. Fail

From what I've heard, Hamlet was based on an old Celtic story. While it's set in Denmark it's roots are consistent with where one would think Mabinogi is coming from.
