Graphics card mishap.

I have no idea whats wrong. I recently reinstalled my vmware (on the same computer as before) after having to do a wipe of my computer in January due to an infestation of ping.exe but anyway. I hate Nexon forums so I'm posting on here since it seems like a decent enough group.

So I used to run Mabinogi on vmware since I dont have that much choice in the matter. Since the game seemed clear to play again I decided to try playing again and did the above. Well prior to this problem I did get the message of "your graphics card is meh do you wish to proceed?" much like when I play on my laptop. I'd hit yes and it'd be fine, laggy, but fine. But this evening it just wont even let me proceed. I'm leaving a SS at the bottom so you can see what screen is appearing. Has anyone else found a fix for this? it's NOT my system as it's far beyond qualified for this game and again i've ran it before without any problems.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know if not then screw this.

This is extremely common for any time you wipe your computer.

Go to your manufacturer's site and redownload your drivers.

Either way you need to make sure you reinstalled vmware tools on it.

Some other things to check is that accelerate 3D graphics is enabled on the virtual machine properties under the display options. Then in the guest OS, make sure hardware acceleration is set to full.

And since you're using an XP guest, make sure it's up to service pack 3.

Workstation updated it to 8 to see if that'd help. I have vmware tools installed of course and the 3d graphic accelerator is on. I'll double check but I'm sure the hardware acceleration should be good. I'll check that for now anyway.

I'll try reinstalling my drivers and see if that works, didn't even think to do that before posting lol. I dont normally have to clean my computers since Im pretty smart for avoiding infestations but that ping.exe was a mean piece of work.

A few other points to consider is making sure you installed directx on the guest, and make sure you assigned enough video RAM. To do that you need to go into the .vmx file of your vm with a text editor and change the value of "svga.vramSize" (value in bytes).
