Title. I'd like to know how other people make use of the various stat rolls. That is all. For now o3o

I'm a tetrahybrid build
Str roll = FH, wm, smash
Dex roll = AR/mag spam or smash and FH for injury
Int roll (critical bonus)= Fireball, icespear, AR, smash, FH
Balanced roll = Alchemy or any of the above
Mana roll = Mana shield
Stamina roll = Heal to hp if damaged
HP roll = let drain and give longer trans
I have all the equips with me

oh thanks that's some useful info... but if you're soloing shadow wiz(i would, idk if you do), do you still use a bow? or just ignore it and do your usual thing. is the "inconstant stat change" a problem for you at all?

In shadow wiz solo, I use a shield and mace (charge, smash, and windmill) as primary weapon so i can tank some of the attacks since i don't handle pets very well. I don't use bow until need to AR spam when i get a dex/crit roll or use magnum in normal mode on leftover monsters or as a Charge attack opening.
Magic attacks would only be used if i didn't use mana shield and didn't hit the orb yet.
Alchemy is only good in a party for shadow wiz.

Str/Balance roll = Smash/Windmill-oriented
Dex/Injury roll = Uhh... play as normal/Life skills
Int/Critical roll = Lightningbolt/Blaze/Ice Spear/Thunder/Smash
The HP/MP/SP don't matter to me too much.

I just ignore rolls. If I end up with a roll I like (high-Str or high-Crit) then super. Very rarely will I switch what I'm using (either melee or magic) to accommodate a stat roll. Although I still loathe Dex rolls since I don't have ranked range, and it does nothing for me.
Reason being - if you're fighting a certain way, then it's probably the best way you can with your skill set. In most cases, a stronger boost in a weaker area won't shift effectiveness enough to make it "better" than what you were doing before - the only real change is that I'm much more reckless due to the fact that mobs aren't one-hit-death anymore.

Same with Justified, I don't switch my fighting style to accompany a certain stat roll.
I don't even have ranged attack to use with a high Dex roll. :X

I would work with the switchy business, but I don't have many ranks right now. I can see how it's useful, though.

I never noticed my rolls on my old main. The primary thing I used it for was larger mana pool for rafting... thats about it.

I rarely change them because I rarely find needs to transform, except life skilling.
Str Ill just keep meleeing
Int or an MP roll I'll use adv magic then, thats it.

I don't like switching roles. Pally for me.

Okami wrote on 2010-07-11 07:01
If I were a DK then I would probably switch.. depending on if it's a Dex roll or a Str.
I'm not into magic yet, so if I rolled Int I would use the tasty crit for melee most likely.

When I dex roll I usually Magnum spam or AR spam if I'm in more of a rush...
Str roll is just smashing and pet luring into WMs.
Int roll is usually just smashing and duel-oriented combos so I can take advantage of the crit. Or I spam my RF Adv Magics 8D...

You don't. Just keep playing how I was and continue with the trans. Too much hassle to change from play style to play style.
StyleA -trans- .... pause to switch weapons...... StyleB -untrans- .....pause to switch weapons..... StyleA
