I know how it feels to lose a pet that you've had for a long time.
It hurts for a long time. :c
Problem is, we had only had her for about a month. Like I said, she was still only a baby. :( Hadn't lost any puppy teeth, hadn't even finished growing yet. We had never taken her to the park, never given her any type of people food, she never had any other doggy friends. She wasn't even completely house broken yet. But yes, it does hurt, and it will for a long time.
