._. Eating Carbs doesn't make you fat, it's when you consume more calories that you burn which can make you fat. Carbs are our main and best source of energy and our brain can only run on the glucose derived from these carbs. (Hell if I know why, I'm going to ask my teacher) Having a protein only diet is a waste as that protein would better be served maintaining or bodies and for fats...eh they provide more Calories per gram than Proteins or Carbs but eat too much and they'll just be turned into body fat.
Anyway it all depends on the Carbs really, fruits and vegetables and starchy foods (whole wheat) are good for you and have vitamins but just eating things with no nutritional benefit is just bad :D
