My guild consists of like 15 characters, which are actually just like 8 people... Including me, I think only 5 log on at least once a week, but we're all really close. And we do A LOT of guild runs... Like if we're all awake we'll be forced to run Siren HM because of our crazy loli guild leader :D<3
Edit: Oh yeah, we were known as a PVP guild for maybe 2 weeks since me and my buddy in the guild used to duel random pros in Dunbarton and beat them most of the time. People didn't even want to duel us since we had the guild name over our heads QQ

Our guild is an old guild, about 2 years old so we have tons of open space for guild members, although most of those are being used by mules and alts. We're tightly-knit, consisting of about 15-20 people, and we occasionally do guild runs and various dungeons, although I'm too weak to go on their Hard Mode SMs which my other guild members do a lot. Our guild knows a lot about Mabinogi and what to raise, so we're all experienced players and most of them are well over +1000. Our guild leader and our senior members real helpful and we're all pretty social so we have fun times in the guild chat.

The only reason I stay in mabi at all is for my guild, Connous, the people in it are really awesome and I like them all.

My guild is relatively new (started in february), and the people in it are friendly enough. I like to think that my officer and I are providing a laid back and drama free environment, but if I had one small gripe about it is that many players in my guild don't seem to want to help each other much without my officer or I also helping.
Any advice on promoting unity in a guild without having a guild rely too much on its leaders? I'd love it if I could help my members to become self-sufficient.

Pretty old guild, more than a year old. I co-found it, so I'm proud that it lasted so long. One of the oldest guilds on Alexina, I guess.
I try my best to make the guild as much as a family, as closely-knitted as possible, but with nearly 100 members, that's tough to do. During the summer, an average of 10-15 guild members log on, so the guild is far from perfect. I get the whole group doing guild dungeons for something or for fun, doing stuff like gathering items, doing events, making engaging discussions, whatever that promotes participation. The more active people of the guild can have levels ranging from 100-1000+, so it's pretty spread out in the experience area.

I find this hard to do, usually because unity requires a leader of some sort. Maybe have some incentives to self-sufficient activities?

hmmm im in a korean guild Hwashin~
we field boss whenever there is one, if we are online. im the officer so when the leader is not online i try to get the online folk to do something together, usually. imo it's difficult to play together though, since the majority of us are over 1k lvl while there are a couple that are still very very low. when we party with the low level people the high lvl people gain no experience at all. xD so... i think its kind of a big problem, maybe its just me. i just think those guilds with lvl restricts are more convenient. of course we still love the lower lvl guildies~ its just kind of hard. it's because we recruit based on who can read and write korean, not on playing compatibility. we still party together once in a while though, because we dont want the low level ppl to feel left out, and i dont want us to lose a sense of guildy togetherness. a lot of the time the high level people do hard dungeons together, but at the same time we feel bad that the others cant come. i wonder how to solve this difference. >.< it's hard to please both ends. anyways, we help one another out if we are able to. but i don't like it when people beg for items or money all the time, or asking for constant help (seeming lazy). there was one guy in our guild like that but thank god he quit. there are dead days when some people are doing their own thang~ or when hardly anyone is on, but for the most part if someone is online, we try to do something together. some of my guildies are doing the rm project so we leave them to do that.
we also just chill together and talk~ sometimes that is the best part of mabi. but come to think of it i think i should start organizing more guildruns, havent done one with a lot of ppl for a while~ anyways yeah, this is just how i see my guild~ i think we care about each other a lot, and since it's not too big, we are mostly each other's friends anyways.
and lol @ Serathx. our guild was like that too~ it was branched from chamisul guild, which broke up because some drama. the majority of chamisul came to hwashin, so it's all good. the other chamisul branch is dieu :P they are cool peeps too.

Mine hasn't been "released" yet really. It's just myself and a few others, my new main isn't even in it atm though. It's mostly just a haven for people without a home, lol. My old main can solo virtually anything that may need required for newcomers (G1 final, G3 final, ect.), so he's leader. I don't really advertise my guild even though i have a thread somewhere on here for it.
Ever since my old guild, Pandora, fell through because the leader quit, officer left for another guild, and other primary members left.. I just don't have a guild anymore. I don't think i really want one either, I have mine just as a haven for friends but isn't a guild to me. I thoroughly enjoy being guileless on my new main actually. I don't really talk to people and when i was in a big guild i.e. Deviants, I just felt odd. I only ever spoke if someone asked a game related question and did my own thing anyway so it felt redundant and I left.
If one day i find a good guild, cool, if I don't then i don't care anymore. I just want to play at my own pace with my own personal character OCD. Guild doesn't really have anything to do with that.

I'm in the guild, Kugnae, I joined for only like 1 or 2 months, I think, but I already loved it, and the people are very nice, and the leader is willing to listen to our opinions, and our problems if needed. The guild chat is quite active, and people are helpful, and we do guild runs sometime.
But our guild is mostly a Production guild, though.
Kugnae is also one of the oldest guild in the game as well, more than 1 year in Alexina.

I'm actually not sure about my guild, 'cuz I'm kinda an outsider. I was active for a month or so, but I haven't had time to go on Mabi very much so I'm very disconnected from them.
RAWR!! wipe the floor!! muhahaha
by the way, i haven't been much active too, so I am not sure >.<
The guild is trying to set up guild events

Oh dear god Yorozuya broke up because of this exact problem, except it was with the officer because the leader was slacking off.
But yeah, Peaca is a fun idea, or you could do some Hardmode dungeons.
