  All joking aside, its unfortunate that you're letting a few people get to you. Use the "advanced" option of the ignore function; it works wonders. If you aren't willing to take the time to do such, I'm actually at a loss of ideas— if a few specific people are bothering you, and you aren't using such an easy solution, its your loss. It seems that you tolerate and get along well with other members of this community. Don't let the few spoiled give you reason to discard the bushel.

  When I was staff, I actually had to explain exactly the contents of your guide time and time again to people, so it's useful to be able to just point to it.

The place has its significant share of people who appear to have symptoms of mental retardation, wannabe/pseudo-intellectuals who aren't too far off from the former, those with various mental issues and everything in between. But you know, you can still have a good time if you learn to set your expectations low and concentrate on the fun things.
  
  Still, I would have preferred if you stayed. Every time an intelligent person leaves, it makes it all the more painful for the rest of us to survive in here. D:
