this article made me frown :(

I hate seeing stories of violence and abuse, especially with ones that end up as messy as this or worse. Reminds me of how I recently read a story of a lady who went missing, her abusive (possibly estranged) husband being the main suspect right now. Stories like this are everywhere

I do feel bad for the woman, though. People seem to assume leaving an abusive partner is easy. It isn't. It's one of the hardest things someone can ever go through with another person.

They tend to have a sort of co-dependency with the other person, even if it's one-sided. Then there's the whole "I believe I can change them" thing. I recall reading somewhere that it takes around 7-9 times for a woman to leave until she finally does it for good.

..Though this is assuming the dude hasn't killed her (or worse) first.

Regardless, I hope the sick fuck rots in jail.
