Getting anything less than 80GB for a SSD is a stupid choice, unless you really know what you're doing and have a good reason for going that route.
I'd say 80GB is tolerable, but 120GB would give you far more breathing room. Also, capacity in SSDs is not wasted. Even if you don't fill it up, more capacity means more performance and longevity.. so you can abuse it more. Yes, they are a bit pricier, but it's one of those things you'll look back on and thank yourself for saving up a few more bucks for it. Especially with prices going down these days.
Intel just released the 330 Series, their more affordable line. 120GB for $145:

Intel actually used the high-performance SandForce controller in this drive, but they run custom Intel firmware with bug fixes that other manufacturers don't have. Then there's Intel's extensive validation process on top of that. The only alternative I'd consider is Samsung (and maybe Kingston is good too, they generally make high quality products, but I have no info on their SSDs).
btw, for those curious, Intel also recently released their 520 line, slightly more expensive than the 330, but offers a bit more performance and a 5 year warranty:

It's what I'll be using in my upcoming build. :)
