Orange County school officials are doing what they can to help students at Winter Park High School cope with the deaths of two classmates identified Wednesday as a pair of burning bodies discovered over the weekend.
Officials have cancelled Thursday's FCAT testing for the day at Winter Park High. They also plan to have grief counselors on campus Thursday morning.
Detectives said the bodies of Nicholas Presha, 16, and Jeremy Stewart, 18, were found on fire Sunday off Cady Way Trail.
A bicyclist who found the teens' remains called 911 and told the operator he couldn't even tell if the burning bodies were two people or two mannequins.
Many students at Winter Park High School spent the days following Sunday's discovery wondering if the victims were classmates, since the trail is not far from the school, and is a popular area with kids.
Their suspicions grew throughout the week after no one had seen Presha or Stewart in class.
Investigators said they believe the deaths are related to a fire outside a storage area in a nearby apartment complex, but they have not revealed what led them to that conclusion.
One of the teens came from a family of law enforcement. Persha's father is a retired captain with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. He is now an investigator with the Florida state Attorney's Office for Orange and Seminole counties.

My condolences. At-least they're being honored in some way, though.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that.
To find their bodies on fire like that ... I'm nearly speechless.
In any case, you also have my condolences concerning the loss of your friend.

Oh geez =( I'm really sorry to hear about this.
I have to wonder why though...I hope the authorities find information that leads to an arrest. [S]Another thing I want to point out....burning bodies is a very distinguishable smell...It's horrible so I wonder why the bicyclist couldn't tell they weren't mannequins right away.[/S]
Edit: Oh, ok had to reread the article. They were missing for a week before their bodies were discovered? How horrible =(
