One thing I really like about college is when I take a class with an amazing professor.
I'm not talking about your average foreign, physics professor who speaks with a thick accent or that immensely boring literature professor who always puts you to sleep.
I'm referring to those amazing individuals who change your life in some way or another. The impact they have on you is always there and you never forget them, even after years of taking their classes.
Do you have any teachers or professors who you'll never forget?
I remember taking Calculus III during my Fall '08 semester (I think). My professor was this somewhat overweight guy who was going a little bald near his forehead.
My god, he was HILARIOUS. :XD:
I would always try to go early and catch me a seat near the front of the class because he definitely commanded attention in that class, even if it was a topic like multivariable calculus and double and triple integrals.
I always told myself that if I ever taught a college class, I wanted to be like him.
Gosh, I even named my cat in Mabinogi after him (or his last name).
He wasn't a permanent member of the Math dept. though, just a visiting professor, so he left the next year. Pity, I wanted to take another class with him.
Great, great guy.

Mmmm... Well my 8th grade English teacher really cared about how well you are doing. She really tried to help in any way possible. She has a huge afro and is of Romanian descent i believe. :awesome:

No professors in college caught my attention.
However, about 2-3 teachers did in schools before then.
I remember this one Biology teacher. The class was having a knowledge competition, and I was beating the stuffing out of that class. Then the teacher competed against me and gave me a good whooping. :XD: I'll never forget that day. So hilarious and awesome, she is.

My english teacher for the last 2 years is really great and funny. To show the difference in how his teaching style was much better for me, i was failing freshmen english almost, had a d-. I was put into his classes, and got a b the next year. Its not that im bad at english, its that he knows how to keep my attention and makes me not want to lay my head down in the first 5 minutes of class.
Too bad i dont have him my senior year, but then im working in the library instead of taking english classes i think.

My ethique teacher is just awesome.
He is DEFINITELY not by the book.
All we do is talk about things we see on TV, life, etc.
He swears alot, and is funny.
He even jumps on the tabble and do some rock n roll.

My philosophy professor for first year university was pretty amazing; he really knew how to keep the attention of your class and explained the concepts in a way that made it easy to remember. The same professor also brought a beer to class one day, cracked it open and drank it in front of all 150 students. >=D
My calculus professor was also pretty epic, just for being so ...epic and smart. XD
