Who else is planning to use it?
Up until now I've been using dropbox, which is great, but this afternoon google sent me an email saying my drive was ready and now I have nothing left on my dropbox account. In my case, my google apps account is pretty much where I do everything, so it was natural for me to use this service as soon as it released.
The pricing is much nicer as well, even though I don't think I'll need any extra on top of the free 5 GB.

Probably, since I already use a bunch of Google services.

I've heard some people were complaining about something to do with Google getting to own your stuff. Probably not a big deal to most people. Dunno, maybe I'll use it for (encrypted) backups or something.

It's the typical bitching about the TOS. Every file storage service has a similar TOS so they can legally offer you the service. Dropbox got the same drama and they did a good job explaining it.

Hm, I wonder if it has a sync feature with specific locations on your computer/device. I'm not finding anything of the sort on the page though.

I do believe it supports syncing. :p

Supports sync, but it's the same as dropbox. All in one folder, with the option of choosing which sub folders to sync or not. Can't have them at various spots on the system.

Aw, darn. Well, I suppose it will do. But I don't get any free space like I do from referring people to dropbox.

I just got cleared and my drive has been installed. Quite excited since sharing a workspace with people online is going to become really easy for me now. [S]Also its totally another pirating gateway.[/S]
Edit: sharing isn't as secure as I would've liked it to be... I'll have to start a separate account or something instead.
