Mods are against the ToS which is why people get banned for using them. If you just shut up and slide under the radar like any average monkey, you're safe.
And wrong section. GG newcomer :D

I still want whatever mod would let people abuse dorrens. LOL. Another thing you guys arent talking about here are BOTS. Since they kinda fall into same category. Most Popular bots are gold farming ones and ore farming ones. This is very evident in Alexina where 99% of the gold bot sites left but there are still tons of "Player based" bots killing mongeese and such as well as plenty of ore farming playing based bots. I'll be honest I'd be interested in the ore one but windows vista and macros do not compute most of the time.

They're good. I wouldn't play it without them =/
The frame lag is horrendous without the font mod. Unacceptable with my system specs.

Personally, I'm against all forms of mods cause it unbalances the playing field (yes, even CP mods do this). However since many players choose to mod, I'm choosing to play along with them so I don't gripe.

They are actually good.
The only mods you can think and consider are bad are DLL edits and other hacks.
Mods =/= hacks either.
Because mods are client sided and do not effect others.
Ehhh, Actually DLL edits and most things that don't involve an external program are still mods.

Mods might be against the ToS, but people rarely get banned for using 'em.
One guy won a video contest and his mods were clearly showing.
Don't worry about your mods, pinoy. Nexon doesn't really care as long as it doesn't affect their $$$.
Like, 5 of those videos were from Puripuri, and everyone has a tricked out (cheat free) client.
Personally my only REAL question is what the word is about them on mabination...
Because about 7 hours ago I made a pretty nice Leak Broom.

How do CP mods 'unbalance the playing field'?
Osay's tools do basically the same job, just takes you 2 more minutes to input your data. And the tools are available to anyone.

Knowing someones CP is only really beneficial in situations such as random pvp duel requests/guild wars. And even then your dying anyway, or gonna be taking some damage. With the CP mod in, it just makes choosing which mobs to train X skill on. Or when to start getting some -CP equips to train such and such skill.

@ Shironi & @ bradstrt,
bradstrt answered Shironi's "how does it unbalance the playing field" question with his post. Instant CP calc helps ppl ascertain who to PVP and who not to. That is different than trying to figure out a person's level by their gear, title, behavior, etc (the way a person might do it if they were sizing up an opponent IRL. This was probably intended by Devcat.
Also as bradstrt mentioned auto CP calc is also used as a training crutch to speed up skill ranking, instead of methodically learning which monsters are stronger and weaker, and which gear enchant titles seem to affect your own relative strength as well. I think this was also intended by Devcat due to the purposefully ambiguous names for CP modifying gear ("seems a lil weak", "looks strong", etc. instead of "-CP 100, -CP 500" and so on).
Basically, more savvy users will mod, noobs or less mod-dependent users will not. Everyone is then not playing with the same set of tools. The field becomes unequal (unbalanced).
Like I said, I don't gripe about it, just stating my reason for not modding at all.

It only makes it less time consuming. Not a big deal ._.
And in foreign servers mods are allowed and even endorsed.
