No... it can't be real. I'm installing the beta right now to see if my eyes deceive me. And then I won't believe it anyways even after seeing it happen on my computer.
Adobe however sold their souls to the devil, just like EA and Activision did, to get their hands on this voodoo technology. You must now "log in" to use CS6 supposedly. Most likely a constant account authentication for anti-piracy measures.

About time they modified the patch tool. It hate when it doesn't adapt properly.
Overall, this is pretty damn amazing.

auto save sounds nice lol
Layer filtering sounds really cool too.
They'll break the security in like a week though lol.
Also did anyone else notice that it's a synthetic voice? :o
I like that the liquid tool was made faster. Oh and the lighting change using mercury engine too.

I need this.
That autosave is going to make a lot of people at school happy, too.

Used a third party software for auto-save, same for the quick brush size change thingy, good to know it's all going to be added in PS.
The new filters look cool, something to experiment with.
And the new engine sounds awesome, less lag, faster everything.

Playing around with it the past few hours.
1. Interface is a nice breather from CS5. But I still like CS2 interface more.
2. Runs smoother and faster.
3. Autosave doesn't just save your files. Its a life saver.
4. The new timeline interface is more intuitive but still pretty terrible.
5. Workspace interface and cropping is a god send.
6. Some extra customization options are nice.

Black magic? Really?
It's practically a copy/paste of the sample area with the edges blurred/smeared. Photoshop can't even begin to guess what might show up in the area off to the right.
The wall pattern doesn't match. The changing angles of the floor aren't accounted for. Even the lower stones themselves have continuity issues. I don't see how this is much better than using a clone tool.

Once again, there are obvious artifacts from where the girl had been, most notably at the roof line of the building.
The software does a fair job recognizing patterns and filling in the gaps, similar to how our brains do the same thing, but there is a limit to how much information can be filled in, and it's not magic. :P
P.S. I could accomplish much of the same effect too, using only a clone tool. With some smart (manual) sampling, I could even make the disappearance more believable.

I am well aware of how to use the clone and stamp tools to imitate the effect. However from what I've been fiddling around with, this plus that can tremendously shorten the amount of time it takes to get the job done. Especially in some rather complex images.
Also, there are settings to tweak which makes it a little bit better for certain images.
I just used it to get rid of a watermark on an image that would've otherwise taken quite a bit more work with the clone and stamp tools. I still used those tools, but only for minor cleanup.

Well, I can agree with you there, about it being a time saver.
