I drew a Caladbolg

I really rarely ever draw, and when I do, I spend at least a week working on the drawing.

I only work with pencil. This is the first serious drawing I've done since last year. I haven't uploaded the last good drawing since I just figured out how to scan stuff.

Was drawn 99.9999% freehand(I used a ruler to draw a perfectly straight line for a reference point from the tip of the sword to the center of the hilt).

In all seriousness, the way the lightning is travelling down the swords seems a bit odd. But asides from that, wow. Orz. I really like the way you drew the lightning and how it contrasts so much with the background. D:

I like the way you drew the sword too. I think the blending on the sword looks fine for the most part, but I think it'd make more sense to keep your lighting in one direction instead of shadow/lighter areas coming out of everywhere at once.

On the shading of the sword, I was trying to have the light come from the big bolt, but so hard to accurately represent it.
