Unable to connect to low-traffic websites.

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

Basically, if I'm trying to go to a website that seems rather obscure, or at least not mainstream, I won't be able to connect.

Although the issue for any individual website seems to always be different, I can usually connect by accessing cached versions from google.

I thought it might have been a problem with my browser, but I appear to get the same problems no matter the browser.

Various websites. Like I said, sometimes it says there's a redirect loop, sometimes it's unable to find DNS, sometimes it times out. The error is different depending on the particular page, and there doesn't seem to be a reason or pattern.

Your ISP might be having DNS issues. Try switching your DNS servers to Google's Public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

If these are not popular websites, there is a possibility the web server overload.

I will try that next time this happens, but as of now, it's suddenly cleared up on its own.
