People like drug addicts or sociopaths or ignorant folk etc.?
Do you blame for the situation they find themselves in? Or do you see him/her as a victim?
For example,
- Are you judgmental towards an addict because he/she has an addiction?
- Are you judgmental towards a sociopath because he/she doesn't know how to socialize with people?
- Are you judgmental towards an ignorant person because he/she herself is judgmental towards others, be it gays, women, fat people or etc.?

I give them the benefit of the doubt unless they blow their chances multiple times and refuse to seek help or guidance when offered them.

this is probably the best way to say what I was thinking
though the addicts however I'd probably be more judgmental against

I'm not judgmental of anyone until I know their story. Judging someone based on appearances alone is beyond stupid.
We are all unique and we all have different reasons why we ended up the way we are. One drug addict may be completely at fault for their drug use, while another may have legit reasons for turning to drugs for comfort.
Sociopaths don't choose to be the way they are, so how could you possibly blame them for it? The only thing really worth blaming them for is their actions; if they choose to do bad despite having the opportunity not to. Psychopaths on the other hand need to be punished either way. No, it isn't their fault that they have terrible urges.. but they're a danger to society and cannot be changed, so the only option is to either lock them up or kill them.
I don't see what's wrong with judging someone who is judgmental. If I see someone who's an ignorant sod, I could care less if they're black, white, gay, straight, a man or a women.. if I judge someone, it's because I'm judging them as a person, not because of trivial facts like race, sexuality, etc.

Some ignorant people are born into religion or different cultures (or even times) which teach them to be the way they are.
Is it right to judge an ignorant old man from the 1930s who believes doesn't particularly like black people? Like you say, how can you blame him for that?

Well, to be honest. I believe that things like prejudice can be helped rather easily, unlike being an addict or a sociopath. That old man would be judged anyway, because it's just hatred. It isn't an illness or anything. It's just hate passed down from each generation. So yeah, I'd judge the hell out of people like that.
It's just ridiculous to me to even have hate for other ethnic groups in this day and age. Even if you grew up around that. You sure as hell have to deal with other ethnic groups now.

I'm not judgmental towards addicts, I just assume something traumatic happened to them for them to turn to substances
I pity people in those situations

Circumstances first. Willingness later.
Some of them (including me) want the more fortunate ones to count their blessings.

Very judgmental towards the ignorants. Mostly towards the gay aspect of it.
As for addicts, meh they got themselves into it...
And depending on the situation for sociopath, yeah I'd feel for them. :(

Addicts: Well, not really, no. Stuff happens and some people've just gotten into a bad situation. They're just like the rest of us, but somewhere else.
Sociopaths: To an extent, yes. I realize it might not be their fault, but from a personal standpoint, no one likes being hurt and I can't play nice with people who hurt me. If I know they're sociopaths, I'll just sort of tune out a lot of the things they say and not care so much because that's just who they are... but a lot of the time people don't know beforehand.
Ignorant people: Yeah, I'm kinda judgmental towards them. There's nothing wrong with a joke or someone playing around, but some people actually believe some pretty ridiculous things. I don't think growing up in that environment is enough of an excuse in the long term as they're unnecessarily hurting people and it could all be stopped if they'd just sit down and think about what they're doing and saying for a moment in detail. I'm a lot more lenient about this than most people, but I actually almost refused to date someone because they made fun of a certain group of people in a serious way. I said I wouldn't, but they convinced me they didn't actually mean it, which was probably a lie, lol.

Are you judgmental towards an addict because he/she has an addiction? I try not to be, but it's hard. Mostly I just hope that they can get help with their addiction, but i'm not going to lie, I try to avoid people with addictions.
Are you judgmental towards a sociopath because he/she doesn't know how to socialize with people? I guess it's the same with addicts. I hope they can get the help that they need. I'll do the best I can to be polite and civil to them but otherwise, not much beyond that.
Are you judgmental towards an ignorant person because he/she herself is judgmental towards others, be it gays, women, fat people or etc.? I mostly just feel sorry for them, because they can't understand what they're doing, which is treating people in a certain (usually rude) manner because they're different. It's like if you meet someone who's a homophobe, most of the time is because they're uneducated and uninformed, and they're just ignorant. And ignorance is sad. And for people who are overweight or obese, it makes me angry sometimes because they don't understand the person's situation - it's not as if they CHOSE to be overweight. Maybe some of them did via their lifestyle choices, but for some people it's beyond their control.
Hopefully that made sense. My brain is fried.
