  Australians love hiring young people, it feels like every supermarket I walk in to theres a 10 year old serving me!

  The US economy is pretty screwed right now since the jobs meant for entry level folk (teens) are only being given to experienced older folk so companies only have to pay the legal minimum for quality work. And then acting like they're doing you a big favor for hiring you.
  
  Move to Australia. I mean I hate my new job but I'm still getting 20 an hour for it.

  and then this horridly lazy kid I know got not one but two jobs this summer...McDonald's and Friendly's, which ain't that great, but it just kinda makes you rage. Around here it seems like the rich kids [because their parents have 'connections'] and the lazy kids [through sheer "?????"] get the jobs.

  I work at a hotel and most of my shifts are fri-sun all afternoon and night/early morning so I make a bomb. Couldn't stand working at McDonalds.. T__T
