Taillteann SMs and Tara SMs

I'm about to finish G8 and move on to G9, but I haven't done too many Taillteann SMs before this.

I've noticed things in Taillteann have a lot more HP than Tara even on the same mission level. Is this a bug or is Taillteann always like this? :what: Or am I doing something wrong?

hmm i never noticed that it is probably because tail mobs are designed so that you can double smash them before they start attacking you (assuming that they haven't aggroed u before the first smash)

sooo less danger -> more hp?

They are different missions, in a different map and ect, its like asking why Shadow Wizard is harder then Crag Cow.

Taillteann is actually ALWAYS like that. The monsters that are in Tara are much more offensive than Taillteann monsters. An example is to go fight a Shadow Fighter and then go fight a Bone Fighter. The Shadow Fighter will stare at you for a bit, run around, and then load skill or hit you. The Bone Fighter most likely will immediately charge at you or load smash and charge at you. When you knock them back, they come straight at you, instead of pausing for a moment. As for an example of Taillteann mobs having more hp, let's look at Bone lancers and Shadow Lancers. We'll use The Gold Bone Lancer, the current strongest type and the Heavy Armor Shadow Lancer.

Gold Bone Lancer:
Basic : 205 15 (%)
Intermediate: 410 20-40 ~25 (16%)
Advanced: 820 ~45 (25%)
Hard: 1640 55 (30%)

Shadow Lancer (Heavy Armor)
Basic: hp 510 def 15 prot (15%)
Intermediate: hp 1020 def 26 (20%)
Advanced: hp 2040 def 56 (29%)
Hard: hp 4080 def 50 (35%)

As you can see, Taillteann monsters have a lot more hp than Tara monsters do. Also, that was taken straight from the wiki and according to it, the Shadow Lancer does more damage than the Bone Lancer. Even if that is the case, Bone Lancers don't like to waste time that much and mostly charge at you over and over, loading skills and what not when knocked back of course.

Taillteann missions also allow larger parties and give double the experience. By nature, Tara mobs must be weaker for it to be balanced.

Another breaking point is that Taillteann mobs will multi-aggro, while the only Tara mobs that multi are Bone Archers.

Shadow Fighter/Lancer/Warrior can be Smashed two times in a row if the first Smash was landed before the target aggroed.

also works with alby adv spider warrior/soldiers too :)

Actually, the Shadow lancer has a different AI, but you can still double smash it. Just that sometimes it charges at you after windmilling it, unlike all the rest of these monsters which will run away like a coward.

Not true about the unarmored skeles.
I've had instances where they charge after smash. Rarely... but they do. They do share the same AI as the armored ones.
