What changed in Vindictus?

  I am planning on returning to Vindictus... Anyone can fill some updates I missed? I stopped playing when episode 8 was released. Any new skills? Upcoming updates? Any Big big changes??
  And how are the characters now? Back then, when I was Lann.. I couldnt do anything during bosses..
  :cry: Maybe I am just a noob... Anyways last qs. Should I play Evie or Lann?

  Evie is easier to get basic gear for and do alright with if you're really struggling with Lann. With enough gear/experience he passes Evie in potential, though.

  first of all lann and evie are two completely diffrent chars so try both for a start
  Evie
  has two bridges
  [Staff user AKA Mage]
  Pros:
  Can use magic, which allows for players to deal high damage all the while being safe in the background
  Can heal themselves as well as other players.

  staff users need to come closer to there enemy but since skills of staff are alot faster to cast they do drop when getting near your opponent since you could get smash by them and trust me as a staff user you could spam your wind bullets just keep in mind that it does suck up SP
  well im a staff/scythe user so my guess is that staff are more on getting close to an opponent to land a powerful attack and dodge to safety then rinse and repeat

  Pron:
  has more mobility with dodging [+ her blinking could go through your opponent which is a plus]
  Her snaps is quite powerful when used with the right scythes and her snaps can be used afar
  Battle Scythe: Bloody Thread deals a lot of damage to multiple enemies, and does not have a cooldown like Firebolt
  Battle Scythe: Blink makes avoiding enemy attacks much easier and effective
  No skills require cool down
  Quicker bursts of damage
  Can still use all Alchemy skills
  
  Cons:
  Cannot use Magic
  Cannot use Healing, thus cannot be a support player
  Scythe attack speed is significantly slower than Staff attack speed
  
  now i love scythe players why? who doesnt like petite little loli girls dressed cutely and swings a gigantically large scythe? while her bubbles jiggles around?
  now scythe users are really hard to use when your beginning since scythe users focuses more on timing since snaps needs a consecutive combo before you can place them but when you do get hit the enemy is damages them ALOT and plus bloody thread is an amazing skill kinda puts thread like thingies to monsters and it causes a kinda AoE damage so after you land a evil bombs blink away and snap
  
  Scythe evies focuses more on landing her snaps but DO NOT EVER SNAP INFRONT OF A MONSTER just about any evie 3 hit combos from a boss and your dead
  so mainly Blink near monster land an evil bomb blink away then snap
  thats how your life is pretty much going to be
  
  Well i know the infos i given you isnt the best there is alot of guides BETTER guides out there you could find some nice one here in mabination
  but this is just basic infos
  now i do not know anything about Lanns so you could just go check up on guides theres plenty out there

  It's basically always a good thing. There are a couple situations with Thor and solo Lionotus where it can get someone stuck in a corner long enough for them to die, but that's kinda just bad luck to an extent. 99.9% of the time being pushed back does more good than bad and at the worst it'll waste a couple seconds.

  Scythes generally have to be closer, but snapping gives them something to do when they can't attack. Then again, it's only something they can do once per smash, it's not like they're really playing from a range.
  
  The #1 problem staff Evies have is that they lack the ability to stack as much defense as other classes while remaining viable. What this means is they'll either die quickly by certain things or do so little damage that they suck.

  Not really. I mean, they have to dodge a little more than Karok and maybe a tiny bit more than Fiona overall, but not as much as (an unstacked) Lann. Stacked, it would still be in their best interests to dodge a few things.
  
  I'm not even sure what you mean when you say it sucks up SP. Magic Arrow actually gains SP as do all of her focus spells.

  Insane reaper is pretty good, it's just offensive rather than defensive which means it probably won't save anyone and may go unnoticed.

  1.Im a Staff/Scythe user [More on Scythe]
  
  2. Well first of all the staff dodging thingy is what im very bad at so yeah sorry about that but when i play dungeons here sometimes i do get stuck with bosses maybe because i just suck at being a staff user
  
  3.The over all problem with staff is their defence but i think if your going with evie you must have an instinct when your soloing/Partying a certain dungeon since a few attacks here in there could leave your evie dead but as a staff you could just enhance your sets from time to time that does increase your survivability by alot
  
  4.I just soloed the Giant spider awhile ago while using a staff and i realized something about the dodge mechanics so scratch everything i said about the staff playstyle i guess staff user slowly gets near the opponent lands a few bolts here and there then uses their diamond dodge thingy to get hit and fly away leaving them in a safe place
  PS: when your lvl 40 you have the ability to summon golems you should upgrade that to the max as soon as possible it helps when your soloing a dungeon well i always solo because my internet sucks alot so soloed everything XD>..the golem pretty much helps as a distraction so you could land your hits from the back of the enemy
  
  5.The wind bullet thingy is what im wrong with since i played alot of online games and when ever the bar is green its SP so im very sorry co'z i got confused but what i mean is that it sucks alot of [Stamina the one under the Health bar] when spammed but it is quite usefull especially after you get it into a high level co'z it can spam 3 bullets at a one single blow
  
  6.Focus thingy of staff us what i love the most i dont think its slow since it STUNS the nearby opponent but it only stuns small creatures not bosses so stun comes with the slowness of the focus so you if your planning a staff evie be sure to time your focus well
  
  
  7.When i talk about a Healing buff i say that the ability to recover Health and thats what Staff users has the ability to grant a buff that recovers HP
  While scythe users has the buff that recovers SP because when they swing their scythe Stamina is consumed so having Insane reaper On [max lvl] gives you plenty of time to spam your Snaps but be careful just like staff users you need to time your combos too

  PS:Im playing the chinese version but im not chinese so the things in the china version might not be the same with the NA version
