the cat thinks the animation or art style is somewhat strange compared to the original
It's a bit more flexible, at least from my perspective. Of course, this allows characters like Envy to make their crazy faces.
Roy Mustang is VERY angry in Episode 53. Plenty of faces in that episode.

How does the execution in anime form suck? I've been a long time fan ever since the first series aired and I like Brotherhood way more.
Well, I just thought the lighting, camera angles, etc. were bad in certain scenes could have been better, and they could have made the scene a bit more "dark". Plus, the music didn't really sound too well to fit in certain situations... Like I said though, that's just my opinion. For example, look at the scene where Ed sees what he transmuted when he tried to bring his mom back to life. The original looks a lot darker, and had more emotion and the brotherhood made it a little "cartoony" so to say.
Well, this is just a semi-rant from an old fan I guess you can say, haha. "Sucks" may be too strong a word to describe my opinion, but, I still say Original > Brotherhood. Of course, I am watching the dub on Adult Swim. Maybe, the voice actors are failing, and adding to my dislike of the show.

Yea, I didn't like FMAB in the beginning because it looked 'less serious' cause of the artwork. Although it is following the manga literally point by point now, including artwork.
Although I got use to it. One thing I still don't like is how they CG'd Envy's true form.

The story is made to fit along with the manga.
The manga's story is better than the previous anime.

I wouldnt really say its better, probably overall its more enjoyed by people, but some people still prefer the old one. Although I'm more into this one. Roy actually DOES something.

I've never read the manga, but I keep hearing the story is better. I do know I prefer brotherhood to the first anime, though. I like them both, but this one feels more engaging. There are more interesting things happening, and actually, I think the flexible animation style can make for some very scary moments, as well as allow for the comedy.

Anime
Bradley just shows out of no where after Sloth dies.
Still curious where Lin/Greed went off too.

Ep 59 up, Mustang just opened the gate and lost his eyesight.
Ep59 was pretty much Chapter 101 and 102.
4 more episodes left.

God, this series is so good.
Haven't watched an anime that packed this much plot and action since... well I dunno.
Black Lagoon had plot and action but some episodes were slow...
Claymore was good right till the end...
My mom is seriously hooked on this show too, lol.
