For the past few hours, i've randomly been hearing ads playing. Just random advertisements for random things, but they wont stop, and no seperate window opens up, and they keep on going even if i dont have any windows up. It's driving me crazy, and i have no clue how to stop it. Nothing showed up in the task manager either. Anyone know how i can stop this madness? lol

Shut off your computer and turn it back on. There must be something playing in the background that you might not be able to directly see or close.
Shutting down would force all your programs to close.
But, when you turn it back on - try to see if the Advertisements pop back without you going on any websites. If they do ... you might want to run an antivirus scan on whatever Anti-Virus you use.

OH if you are on animefreak then it's the ad's not on the video but on top of the page and under the video player as well an Ad blocker on Mozilla might help lol and on top of that you might get two ads on top of each other so you can't stop it hit refresh and hope for a page with no video ads xD

I had a rootkit that randomly played audio ads.
Rootkits hides itself so virus scanners won't detect them.

Had a similar thing happen to me as well.
I found closing a svchost.exe thing using Task Manager was the only way to shut it up. It was the last one on the list cause mine would start and stop at random.
But I sort of was killing processes at random, so I wouldn't advise that.
