Upon recent pondering regarding the nature of the manifestation of the physics engine employed by the Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (commonly denoted as "MMORPG") many aspects of said physics engine strike me as rather strange and dare I say, quite perplexing even to the extreme of vexation.
My primary point being the lack of realism in regards to the knocking back of various things be it mabinogians or otherwise. How is it that a relatively minute canine has the capacity to knock back an alchemical living pile of rather large stones (commonly referred to in the vernacular as "golem")? Furthermore, how is it that a golem is incapable of knocking back a doppelganger? The absurdity of this situation stemming from the more than obvious fact that a doppelganger is approximately the size of a mabinogian.
My second point which will be manifest shortly is the absurd unrealistic precipitation (mostly focusing on the effects thereof). How is it that rain (being a liquid) has lost its ability to muddy up dirt roads? Why is it that the rate of travel (upon bare feet or otherwise) maintains equal velocity regardless of weather?
The third bone of contention which I possess with the ridiculous physics engine present within this diversionary contraption (often referred to as Mabinogi) is the unbelievable inventory system. Having no visible pack or vessel of some sort, the mabinogian is capable of carrying by means of storage, several full suits of armor, yet is only capable of equipping on his or her person one suit of armor! Need I go into the details pertaining to the nature of the storage of the nocturnal aerial beast known as the owl?
At last the conclusion of my miniature essay shall end with a note pertaining to the lack of collision where there ought to be collision. A fine example being the uncanny ability of a mabinogian to pass clean through other mabinogians. This in and of itself is sufficiently absurd, yet the crafters of Mabinogi deliberated to annex yet more gaps of logic. In the bounds of a feud betwixt two consciously and cognitively controlled entities (I vaguely recall this to be christened "PvP") the two said entities are capable of striking each other with equipped armaments yet simultaneously capable of ambulating clean through each other.

It doesn't have to make sense as long as people like it and it's fun. P:

Yeah I heard that game has awesome graphics and a huge variety of customization! The only problem though is that once you log off, you can never log back in. ~nyoron

And you expect it to be realistic? If video games were realistic, they'd be boring. Very, very boring.

A point I'd like to make on this topic: Why is it that the flesh of all Mabinogi characters does not ripple, and acts as a hard solid, like metal? There is only one character whose flesh moves, and when it moves, it's unrealistic and almost obscene.

I mean LOOK AT THE DAMN THINGS. It's like they're made of gelatin or something. Seriously surprised Mabinogi hasn't gone the way of Evony Online and started having ads that are animated GIFs of Nao's breasts jiggling accompanied by the words "Save the goddess!".
