The Vindictus Economy... ?

  Hiya, folks.
  
  So I just hit Level 50—slowly crawling my way up the ladder. Soon, I'm going to end up farming for my end-game armor set (I think I want to go with Ingkara instead of Wonderland). I just wanted to ask some experienced players out there: I notice the price of things seems to be increasing exponentially. Is the economy broken? Inflated... or something? Or do you just start making a lot more money come Boat 6 onwards?
  
  If it is broken... how do you keep up?

  Yes, it's pretty broken, the only way you can keep up is pretty much do all your raids and hope for lucky drops. That, or you can spam some missions that give wanted items (Like Magic Powders). You can ALSO keep up by spending some Nx... but I doubt you'd want to be like me or some of our other members here spending several hours a day working on getting good dye colors. x.x

  The only reason it is like the way it is is because nexon upped their hack game and actually has a spy on the main hacking website for vindictus. So bots are actually completely no more.

  I can tell you, first-handedly, that is not true, but I won't go into any more specifics than that, dunno if it's allowed in these forums. Just know that bots are still out there, just less of them with the updated hackshield and everything.
  
  Oh, there is no main hacking website for Vindictus, just many different branches of each other~

  It's not as broken right now as it is 99% of the time. It's actually really good right now.
  
  Usually scrolls, enhancement stones, etc are very cheap because when hundreds, maybe thousands of people are botting all night long, everything goes down quite a bit. Right now, the bots have mostly been taken care of or at least people have to take their time more. When people are botting heavily, raiding is excellent money considering it's probably the most enjoyable thing to do. It still is, but now that people aren't, doing hero mode actually generates an acceptable income. The scrolls found there can sell for 10-25m+ now when it used to be more along the lines of 2-8m for those same ones.
  
  Everything that was not being botted (raid drops, things that weren't at the end of a level but are still very valuable such as Heavy Warrior's Hammer Fragments), on the other hand, is still roughly the same price.

  Not completely, but my understanding of it is that it's really screwed the public users to the point where they have to do runs in about the same amount of time we do. It used to be they could do 100+ runs per hour which is insane. They didn't even have to wait for the boat animation to start up and could skip right to the boss, only to kill it in one hit. On top of that, it was all done automatically with no user interaction and could remain active while people were at school, work, or sleeping.

  You can talk about it as long as you don't post links or names to things. I think that it's important for legitimate players to know what goes on and how it affects the game they play. To pretend it doesn't exist while everyone gets screwed out of their time and money is ridiculous. Anyone who is trying to make gold should pay attention to every significant factor. That's why I like how the rules are.

  This is a really good discussion, guys. I'm a fairly new player and don't have much of a reference for what a "good" or "bad" economy is—or what a good general price is for, say, some rare enchant. I don't have much to say, but I'm definitely reading—and reading intently, as I think many other users are.

  I believe the rising in price is really dependent on the type of items you are looking at. For example -
  
  Eternity Erg Crystals.
  
  These used to be around 30-40k now I see them at around 70k each. The reason being is that these new Episode 10 raids practically REQUIRE the usage of Party Phoenix Feathers. Eternity Erg Crystals are used to craft Party Phoenix Feathers at Brynn.
  
  Since getting Erg Crystals isn't as straightforward as other drops - getting them yourself is pretty random. So there is a high demand - but frankly a low supply. At least, that's what I'm seeing.
  
  Life Erg Crystals
  
  Same concept with Eternity Erg Crystals. I guess people are trying to craft HP Potions en masse. They used to be around 5k, now they are over 10k each.
  
  I placed 100 of them in Marketplace thinking they would sell after a while ... but they sold in like 15 seconds. I personally think getting Life Erg Crystals is a lot easier - but I'm sure the demand is really high.
  
  High-level Equipment
  
  Most high level equipment requires a rare drop from a particular raid. These rare drops are ... well - rare. It's a luck of the draw, which I can attest to personal experience. Therefore, I've seen the prices fluctuate a lot depending on how many people have gotten rare drops.
  
  If many people aren't getting said rare drops or people aren't doing these raids, then you can expect the prices to go up.
  
  
  My advice to you is to plan ahead. Use a website like VindictusDB to figure out the exact amount of materials needed for your end-game set. Weigh whether or not it would be better to buy it directly from the Marketplace ... or make it yourself.
  
  Don't forget that the Seal of Bravery rewards contain most of the higher level equipment components.
  
  Lastly, think long about every purchase you make; be sure to sell all your junk items in the Marketplace.
