So I get no errors, but when I open up the launcher, and press "Start game" nothing initiates... Any solutions? Earlier today, I was able to just restart and start up mabi right away and it would start up, but now it does not work..

If you have an anti-virus, make sure it's added as an exception on it.
If not, go to Windows Security Essentials and make sure it's added as an exception on there

Yeah, I've also tried temporarily disabling it, but it doesn't start up still.. It was working fine yesterday..

If you recently patched it, and you were using mods before, make sure the mods are all uninstalled and such (that was what happened to me)

What os are you using?
If it's vista or 7, then right click the launcher, run as admin, right click the client file, run as admin then click start game.

You probably already tried this since you got to the "start game" button, but just in case.
What Mentos said.

Yes, I've tried this already, it just has the same thing happening, nothing initiates when I press start game. I've also tried reinstalling and having no mods starting that up, and still doesn't work.

Make sure you are on an account with admin rights (for your pc)
then turn off UAC in user accounts (varies from OS to OS but you can find it in control panel), it may ask you for a restart later which you should do right away
then go to wherever you installed mabinogi (usually c/nexon/mabinogi), right click mabinogi.exe inside mabinogi folder, go to compatability, change settings for all users, make sure run as admin is checked and okay.
A lot of people don't know how to fully turn off UAC so it interferes with starting mabinogi.
for UAC
get back to us if it does not work, I can think of 50 other ways on why it isn't starting

I've just done what you've said, is turning off UAC " change uac settings" then change it to never? because I can't find where to turn it off.. But yeah I've put it to run as admin on all accounts, but still doesn't work.

Hmm, add exception to firewall (windows firewall) in mabinogi if you have it on that is. (add client.exe and mabinogi.exe)

My windows firewall is disable, my anti-virus/firewall has the whole mabinogi folder in exceptions being that I can't target the specific executable's. :P Sigh.. It was working perfectly fine yesterday.. FML

well what did you do yesterday? Give me a clue of what might have happened or if it is totally out of your reach when the problem started occuring

XPwnAll wrote on 2012-06-25 02:51
Well, yesterday.... I hadn't installed anything nor uninstalled or touched any of my programs.. all I know is that yahoo mail (classic) stopped working on my dad's user account.. like it would freeze up and every other site worked. But that shouldn't really be the problem...........

Maybe a clean reinstall is in order.
Uninstall it completely, and then delete c/nexon/mabinogi and trash the whole thing. Then rerun and see if that fixes it. Sorry if I'm being ultra unhelpful but running on only a few hours of sleep.
