The United States of America lost almost 500,000 soldiers in World War 2.

The Soviet Union however lost 11,000,000 soldiers in the same war, along with 15,000,000 civilians.

But I'm not sure how much of that is simply due to "America the world saver" growing a stale story even for the American market.

Actually I think they just got bored of it as much as it grew boring for some of their customers.
