Your render quality is kinda low. Try sharpening it and see it that fixes it.
Also, try having the render stick out of the siggy. It looks more interesting that way.
[Edit] Another thing worth mentioning it that the text looks a bit unfocused. Try changing the font and maybe increase the thickness of the border around the text a smidge. Other than those 2 things, it looks fairly decent.

Your render and bubble is out of the black border; it looks bad.
Try adding a background and smudging it, cuz the background looks plain
The font looks fine. But the sig is a bit big
It's an ok sig, for a first attempt.

Should work on that border of yours.
I'm assuming you used photoshop, if you are, it's a lot easier to just select all (Ctrl+A) and right click with the Crop Tool (or some other tool, not all have this function) and click stroke, do a 2 px white then another stroke, 1 px black. It's also recommended to put your border layer on top of all the others.
I can't really say much other than that and to keep practicing and check out the tutorials, theres a lot of good ones.

I didn't know you could do that for borders Q~Q
I always save it, alt + ctrl + C, then put how much I want for my borders.....
/has learned something new

I tried using crop tool, it slipped my mind that the border was on the actual layer of the image. D:
For some odd reason I always screw up something when doing graphic design, rofl.
