Ok so today I had decided to get a nose piercing because I thought it would be cute, and very subtle. I went and picked my friend shawn up from her house and then preceded to the tattoo shop.
Now I have been to this tattoo shop before for a tat and a belly button piercing so I knew the group of people that worked there very well. I knew I would be in a comfortable place surrounded by people I trusted with my body parts lol
As there was a horrible storm last night the power was out when I had showed up but mark (guy doing my nose piercing) told me lights would be on in less than 10 mins so for me to wait.
Now I mind you I was kinda nervous because this would be my first time getting a piercing on my face and I didn't know what to expect so me sitting, and waiting for the horror to come made it worse. So I went off what I had experience before with piercings. Meaning I thought my nose would be a walk in the park because my belly button and top part of my ear didn't hurt at all, and my tattoo was nearly almost completely painless.
 :fail3: :no!:
I was very wrong with my assumption.
It hurt like hell. I couldn't tell which was worse the needle, or putting in the corked ring. It seemed to take forever for mark to put the damn ring in (only took a few seconds) but who thinks like that when in pain?
Mark ended up not liking me much after that session I can tell you that much lol. Not only did I kinda scream, when in the moment of my pain I grab onto anything I could and squeezed hard, which happen to be the side of mark's body. Which ended up making him scream at me lol.
All in all it turned out well but I can say this much, if my hole happens to ever close or anything of the sort I will not be jumping up for a chance to reopen it.
:pain:

Ouch. I'd never be able to get piercings lol. And luckily as a guy, i don't really feel the need to get any. I generally dont like piercings on guys, some can make it work, but most cant.

From what people have told me, nose piercings usually do hurt since they tend to take longer. Ear piercings don't hurt as badly and they're usually over with in less than a minute, if not just a few seconds.
Makes me glad I'm never getting anything but my ears pierced.

You have high pain telerance and high healing abilities when the doctor question you as to how/why you don't need pain-killers after a bloodly and painful surgery.

Ouch. Sounds painful, man.
I think face piercings are probably more painful than ears, and then there's the body piercings----
But anyhow.
I'm glad I only have my ears pierced.

I really don't see the appeal in anything other than the classic ear piercings. ;_; I wonder if I am in the minority here. ):

You aren't alone. Now we have two and we're growing.

It mgiht be necessary to mention both of you two are guys through. The opinion might be heavily influence by such a fact..

Next thing you know, people are going to get tattoos on their eyes.

That gave me a creepy thought. Have someone tattoo or apply makeup on the eyelid such that it looks like an open eye when it's in fact closed!

Don't think so. It's more of a style thing.

It's still seen as 'weird' to most people if guys get piercings though, especially if you get both ears done.
I personally never saw why such silly things were okay for women but weird for men. But since the world is still extremely sexist, I can't say that I'm surprised.

I could never get a piercing, I hate needles and having my body full of holes.
