[3ML Editor/MIDI] Could not load DLS file?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. It seems that it has something to do with failing to load something called a DLS file, which I don't know how to deal with. I've looked in my "Playback Devices" page in the Control Panel for sound settings, and there's nothing related to Midis there. Is there some way to fix this?

This is what opens when I press "Yes". It lets me select the other output devices, but they do not produce the same instrument sounds as Mabinogi should(Lute and Ukelele sound like pianos).

I've tried re-downloading it, and it still gives that error, so I think it's not the program itself, but my computer.

This is the second result when googling (first one's some wiki page NOT about this problem!) and there's no answer out there apparently, so THREAD NECRO AHOY!

I had this same problem, Im assuming the cause of it was reinstalling mabinogi...

What I did was I opened 3mle and went under Settings>preferences>DLS playback and went looking for the new .dls

To find your .dls, it's in (whatever drive:\folder mabi's installed in)\mabinogi\appdata\mp3\MSXspirit.dls

I hope this helped somebody out there :thumb:
