  Someone thought it would be fun to overload the DB using longass posts, using dummy accounts.
  That's abuse of 2 features I went very lax on: post size limits and not needing to verify email addresses when you sign up.
  
  So to prevent this retard and future retards from doing the same, you now have to confirm your email address when you sign up and posts are limited to 9.5k characters instead of unlimited. We'll see if the limit is too low with time, it was originally set to unlimited when Nation opened for people to post huge guides, might not be needed anymore.

  I think that would be the best way to go about it, so those that actually do need the larger character limit can request access to do so and the one's who don't will be perfectly happy and will never know there is a limit.

  They already can, we've always allowed it, but no one really needed it because of there being no limit. Some people did just out of habit of the post being too long though.
