Now if only I could run notepad as administrator (even though I'm on an admin profile for the computer, it doesn't let me. Vista is weird like that), properly save the changed hosts file, and get python to actually work instead of just sitting there taking up space.
So I guess that's one person who can't get this to work.
Edit: actually figuring out how to do things with the computer, yay!

It says I don't have permission to save to this location when I try to save the host file?

Make sure there isn't a # in front of the text you had to add in your hosts file. I made the same mistake Lol
So, like this:
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 mabiui.nexon.net
I did that but it only says
Started Local Hotkey Servers....

Set your Hotkeys then Change Channels with the program up.

Does this mean for now, we must like always open up this program in order to save our hotkeys?
-
starpaw7 wrote on 2012-07-09 17:20
Also, in case anyone doesn't know:
- You must keep this program running, otherwise when you close it you will lose your Hotkeys
- This does save the Hotkeys throughout characters, meaning that you can switch between Characters and they would keep their own hotkeys
- This always saves, meaning you can log out, change channels, what ever you want to do, until you close the program
- If you shut down the computer, thus closing the program, you must reset your hotkeys
So you only have to change your Hotkeys once a day, unless you never close the program.
Protip: Those with tons of pets can organize their Pets in the "Pet Window" so that they simply have to scroll down, one at a time, to put them in their correct hotkeys instead of scrolling all over the place.
They program helps greatly :skip:

Yes. Until Nexon gets the sever up at least.

Sonofa...
Oh well. Resetting hotkeys every time I log in doesn't really bother me as much as some other people.

That's pretty fucking sad when the players fix a problem this serious themselves.
It's not really fixing a car to just use a different car.
Quote from Nobelium;904349:
Why would you want to fix anything that works if they even delete the unofficial fixes off their forums because they can't fix it due to incompetency?
Because some people use multiple computers. Hotkeys save throughout all computers, hence the point of a server.

Kinda pointless then, since if you leave Mabi running you also keep your hotkeys. Now you're just keeping a different program running, albeit a less computer draining one that doesn't crash as much...

Valid points. I appreciate this work, but it's a temporary fix and its only useful to people who change channels often.

Er. You SHOULD be able to close the server. It just needs to be running when you want to save your hotkeys. It saves them in a folder called "hotkeys" wherever you saved the server files.
EDIT: Also needs to be running when you want to load them obviously.
